DEFINATION:
Scabies is an infestation of the skin with the microscopic mite Sarcoptes scabei. Infestation is common.
Scabies spreads rapidly under crowded conditions where there is frequent skin-to-skin contact between people, such as in hospitals.
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS:
1.Pimple-like irritations, burrows or rash of the skin, especially the webbing between the fingers; the skin folds on the wrist, elbow, or knee; the penis, the breast, or shoulder blades.
2.Intense itching, especially at night and over most of the body.
3.Sores on the body caused by scratching. These sores can sometimes become infected with bacteria.
DIAGNOSIS:
Diagnosis is most commonly made by looking at the burrows or rash. A skin scraping may be taken to look for mites, eggs, or mite fecal matter (scybala) to confirm the diagnosis. Even if a skin scraping or biopsy is taken and returns negative, it is still possible that you may be infested.scabies can be infested with thousands of mites and should be considered highly infectious.
TREATMENT:
Apply the medication to a clean body from the neck down to the toes. After leaving the medication on the body for the recommended time, take a bath or shower to wash off the cream or lotion. Put on clean clothes. All clothes, bedding, and towels used by the infested person during the 3 days before treatment should be washed in hot water and dried in a hot dryer. A second treatment of the body with the same cream or lotion may be necessary. Pregnant women and children are often treated with milder scabies medications such as 5% permethrin cream.
HEPATITIS:
it is also called as HAV.Hepatitis A is a liver disease caused by the hepatitis A virus.The disease is spread primarily through food or water contaminated by stool from an infected person.Hepatitis A causes inflammation of the liver, which leads to soreness and swelling. SYMPTOMS:
virus is present 1 month before symptoms appear.
When symptoms do appear, they usually com on suddenly and include:
1.Nausea, 2.Vomiting, 3.Jaundice (The yellowing of the skin the whites of the eyes), 4.Low-grade fever (up to 101 F), 5.Fatigue, 6.Pain in your abdomen, especially on your right side, 7.Dark-colored urine, 8.Loss of appetite. CAUSES:
The liver breaks down waste products in your blood. When the liver is inflamed, it doesn’t do a good job of getting rid of waste products. One waste product in the blood, called bilirubin (say “billy-roo-bin”), begins to build up in the blood and tissues when you have hepatitis. The bilirubin can make the skin and/or whites of the eyes of a person with hepatitis turn a yellowish color

Hepatitis A is spread through feces. You can get infected through close contact with an infected person (for example, changing a diaper or having sexual contact), even if that person does not have any symptoms. In fact, hepatitis A is most contagious before symptoms appear. You can also get infected by eating contaminated food or drinking contaminated water. The virus can live on hands, in water and in soil.
treatment:
There is no medication to treat or cure hepatitis A. If you have the virus, you should get plenty of rest, eat a balanced diet and avoid alcohol and acetaminophen.
The hepatitis A vaccine can prevent HAV. Healthy habits also make a difference. Wash your hands thoroughly before preparing food, after using the toilet or after changing a diaper. International travelers should be careful about drinking tap water.
HEMOPHILIA:
People born with hemophilia have little to none of a protein needed for normal blood clotting. The protein is called a clotting factor.Hemophilia is a rare, inherited bleeding disorder in which your blood doesn’t clot normally.
When blood vessels are injured, clotting factors help the platelets stick together to plug cuts and breaks at the site of the injury to stop the bleeding. Without clotting factors, normal blood clotting can’t take place. SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS:
1.Bleeding in the mouth from a cut or bite or from cutting or losing a tooth
2.Nosebleeds for no obvious reason
3.Heavy bleeding from a minor cut
4.Bleeding from a cut that resumes after stopping for a short time.

How long it takes for your blood to clot
Whether your blood has low levels of any of the clotting factors
Whether one of the factors is completely missing from your blood TREATMENT:
The main treatment for hemophilia is called replacement therapy—giving or replacing the clotting factor that’s too low or missing. Concentrates of clotting factor VIII (for hemophilia A) or clotting factor IX (for hemophilia B) are slowly dripped in or injected into a vein.
